Plan the visits
Coordinate maintenance and testing around the building and the systems in service.
Make servicing, faults and remedial actions easier for your building team to manage.
SYREX’s fire work includes fire alarm maintenance and emergency-lighting testing. A maintenance arrangement should identify the systems covered, the visit requirements, the access arrangements and how findings are reported and closed out.
Coordinate maintenance and testing around the building and the systems in service.
Receive records that identify observations, faults and recommended actions.
Give remedial requirements an owner and a next step.
Identify the installed system, areas covered and records available. Fire alarms, emergency lighting and suppression equipment need their own appropriate tasks and technical competence.
Plan visits with the building team, including access to devices and any arrangements required while systems are being tested or work is undertaken.
Record work completed, defects and any limitations. Separate routine servicing from remedial proposals and retain evidence when an outstanding item is corrected.
| The area | What we discuss |
|---|---|
| System | Which alarm, emergency-lighting or other agreed system was serviced? |
| Work | What inspection or test activity was completed? |
| Findings | Which observations, faults or limitations were identified? |
| Actions | What needs correcting, who decides the work and how is completion recorded? |
The building team needs to know what was inspected, the result and what still requires attention. We keep planned service activity distinct from additional remedial work, with the terms defined in the maintenance arrangement. Suppression-system servicing requires the relevant system knowledge and a separately confirmed scope.
Begin with the building and its fire information, then establish the system work required.

Talk to the teamEmergency-lighting testing forms part of the current fire support offer. The building and testing requirements are established when the service is scoped.
The systems, competences and visit requirements must be confirmed. Tell us what is installed and we can identify the appropriate support route.
Connect the building’s fire strategy to a detection and alarm system people can operate and maintain.
Bring system records, maintenance findings and outstanding actions into a view your team can use.
Different buildings and assets need different approaches to controlling fire.
Tell us the location, the task and the timescale. We’ll connect you with the relevant team.
